A Stormy Week Ahead for Eastern Canada

Posted by on Sunday, December 4, 2016

A low-pressure system that has not yet developed may bring some unsettled weather to Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.

On Wednesday a clipper system over Montana will track across northern plains and intensify as it moves into southern Manitoba and then Ontario, that clipper will merge with another low from the US Northeast.

Ontario can expect to see snow for northern sections and a rain-snow mix for southern areas on Wednesday.

In Quebec, mostly snow is expected Wednesday through Thursday.

Atlantic Canada will see snow in New Brunswick and a rain-snow mix in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Newfoundland will likely see snow for most of the Island with a rain-snow mix on the Avalon Thursday afternoon.

We are still too far out to give any specifics on precipitation amounts.
