An area of low pressure is expected to develop in Eastern Texas and will get better organized across the Southeastern United States before tracking toward the North.

Should the low remain on its present track it will likely have an impact on the weather across Atlantic Canada as we start the work week.

This low could deliver significant snowfall to eastern New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and the western half of Nova Scotia on Tuesday.

For eastern Nova Scotia, snow will likely change over to freezing rain or rain.

By the time the low reaches Newfoundland, the center of the low is expected to track across central Newfoundland.

Areas east of the low will mostly likely see snow change to rain, west of the low significant snowfall is possible.

As with most systems this far out there remains uncertainty in the exact track. Even a slight shift may significantly alter the precipitation amounts and types.
