A May Snowstorm

Posted by on Monday, May 9, 2016

May snowstorms are not all that uncommon in Labrador. Postville to Hopedale and Nain will be receiving snow that is more typical in February.

Some areas of Labrador may actually receive 30 cm of snow by Wednesday morning.

Winds will also gust to 70 km/h over some areas producing reduced visibility and blowing snow.

This unsettled pattern is due to a low pressure system that is spinning off the coast of Labrador and will spin itself out over the next day or so.
