6.0 Earthquake Along the East Pacific Rise

There was a 6.0 magnitude earthquake along the northern East Pacific Rise.

It happened on Jan 18 at 9:40 am at a depth of just 10 km.

The earthquake was far away from land some 1020.5 km south-southwest of San Andres Playa Encantada, Mexico.
There was no tsunami threat.

No injuries or damage would have been recorded due to the location of the earthquake in the open ocean.
