4.2 Earthquake in British Columbia

There was a magnitude 4.2 earthquake in British Columbia on Thursday evening.

It was centered 22 km east-southeast of Fort St. John, British Columbia at a depth of 10.0 km.

Fort St. John has a population of 17,402.

Most of North America east of the Rocky Mountains has infrequent earthquakes.

There were no reports of damage.
