Heavy rain over Sri Lanka for the last three days have left at Least 37 dead and hundreds missing after a series of landslides.

Up to 200 families are unaccounted for after the landslide.

Volunteers with the Sri Lanka Red Cross rescue team are continuously working along side Government Forces and other services in order to search for the missing in Siripura, Pallebage and Elagipitiya villages in Aranayake, Kegalle.

There were warnings of an impending landslide prior to the event and the hope is that most took the warning seriously and left the region.
