28 Dead Following Floods in Northern Pakistan

Heavy rain has triggered flash floods in northern Pakistan. As least 28 people are dead from the torrential rains.

So of the dead were praying at a mosque at the time. During Ramadan it is common for people to pray at the mosque during night hours.

The heavy rain started falling on Saturday along the border with Afghanistan.

Tuesday looks much more tranquil with a mix of sun and cloud in the region and a high near 40.

Drosh town in Upper Chitral has an elevation of 1,359 meters.
