As of Wednesday morning, 27 people have been killed so far
this year in tornado related death’s in the United States.
Of those deaths 18 of them have been in mobile homes.
Those who live in mobile homes are at a greater risk of
having their homes destroyed. If you live in a mobile home in a tornado prone area
you should have a shelter plan in place. You should not stay in a mobile home
when there is a tornado warning.
Tornadoes are most likely to occur in the Central United
States, between the Rocky Mountains and Appalachian Mountains.
Historically, most tornadoes happen in March through June in
the United States.
The 27 deaths this year already top last years total of 17.
