The Summer Solstice officially arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on Wednesday June 21st.

Temperature Outlook:

It appears as though most areas of Newfoundland and Labrador as well as Northern Quebec will experience below-normal temperatures.

The Maritimes will see above-normal temperatures. Most of southern Quebec and Ontario will see near normal temperatures. However, areas just north of Lake Superior may experience slightly above normal temperatures.

It also appears as though normal temperatures will prevail as well for the Prairies with the exception of central Manitoba and central Saskatchewan. British Columbia will be basking warmer-than-normal temperatures as will the Yukon and western Northwest Territories. The remainder of Northern Canada looks as though they will see near normal temperatures.

Precipitation Outlook:

Precipitation will be near normal for most of the country with the exception of central and western Newfoundland as well as areas of the St. Lawrence River and along the Northwest Territories/Nunavut border.
