14 Dead After Mudslides

Tragedy has struck Colombia once again.

Two weeks ago 300 people died in floods, now mudslides have killed 14 people.

Heavy rainfall fell over the city of Manizales on Wednesday morning triggering mudslides.

In just five hours, Manizales received a month's worth of rain.

Manizales receives about 1,500 millimetres of precipitation a year, with October being wettest.

The city is the main center for the production of Colombian coffee and an important hub for higher educational institutions.
